Meet Jess

I have been practicing TriYoga for almost 20 years, and I am not exaggerating when I say it has transformed my life!

  • Yoga has helped me develop patience, presence, and an ability to respond rather than react. This has helped me in my relationships and in my work.

  • I’ve learned how to turn inward, focus on my breath, and cultivate calm. This helps me ease anxiety and find a path forward when I face obstacles.

  • I have become more aware of my body’s strengths, its challenges, and what I need to do to stay strong and healthy. TriYoga makes my body feel good!

My TriYoga path started during my first year as an elementary teacher. My roommate suggested we try yoga to combat the pressure and uncertainty of teaching in the New Orleans public school system. I was hooked after my first class, and Thursday nights became sacred for me.

My yoga practice remained steady until I moved back home to Sullivan County. With no yoga teachers or studios in site, I practiced on my own until I stumbled across TriYoga of Central Pennsylvania. Located in State College, I signed up for a teacher training course with the intention of deepening my personal practice. I soon found that I wanted to share TriYoga with my own community. I became certified as a Basics TriYoga Teacher in 2017 and soon after started my weekly class in Sullivan County. I added a Level 1 certification in 2020 and often return to State College for teacher trainings, special events, and retreats.

I love TriYoga and I love teaching. Give me a call or send me an email.
